Love the race atmosphere and noshing on latkes, but not up for running? Please volunteer to help make this Chanukah celebration event a success. Volunteer positions may include helping with race day registration, setting up key items prior to the race, and making sure we return the neighborhoods to the way we found them after the race. Registration can be found here!. For more information or questions, contact Lindsay Flammey.
Chanukah Costume Contest:
Runners and non-runners alike are encouraged to come dressed in their most festive fun Chanukah attire! There will be an award given to the best solo AND the best group costume.
We love our TBE communities! On the registration form, you will have an opportunity to indicate all of the TBE communities that you participate in. The community with the largest “team” will get to light the Chanukah candles before our race kicks off!
The first 300 registrants for the Dreidel Dash events will receive a free knit winter hat with the Dreidel Dash logo! In addition, registrants can choose to purchase the Dreidel Dash 5K t-shirt at an additional cost while registering.
Youth Engagement Fund:
Proceeds from the Dreidel Dash 5K will go towards the TBE Youth Engagement Fund (YEF). The YEF provides scholarships to TBE Youth who would not otherwise be able to participate in Jewish programming opportunities. Scholarships may go towards Jewish overnight camps and other summer experiences, Israel trips, Havayah programs and events, and other youth leadership and social opportunities in the broader Jewish community. To learn more about the YEF, please click here »
These events will take place no matter the temperature, in rain, snow, or bright sunshine, as long as TBE and the Wellesley Police Department deem it safe. Bundle up in a nice warm Chanukah sweater (the uglier the better), and join the fun. Please note that entry fees are nonrefundable, and we thank you for your donation to the TBE Youth Engagement Fund.
