About the B'Yachad Shabbaton
The B'Yachad Shabbaton (formerly BM3T Shabbaton) is an integral part of the 6th and 7th grade curriculum. The programs presented during the Shabbaton introduce the main concepts to be covered during the year. We believe very strongly in the power of experiential Jewish education. In informal settings such as retreats, students learn together in the context of authentic Jewish community, experience Shabbat, engage in community building and socialize over the course of a weekend. These interactions strengthen bonds and comfort with peers and faculty. The benefits of our Shabbatonim go well beyond the school year, as these experiences have lasting impacts on our youth in regard to their social and emotional development and their Jewish identities.
Where Do We Go?
This year, the B'Yachad Shabbaton will be held at URJ Eisner Camp in beautiful Great Barrington, MA.
Who's On the Bus?
6th and 7th graders, members of our TBE Youth Programs Team, B'Yachad Faculty and Senior Madrichim. Our staff has a deep background in experiential education and running Shabbatonim, and are excited to connect with our students through this exciting and important experience.
